The Association for the Museum of Transport and Communication (AMTC) has two strands: The Alfândega Porto Congress Centre and the Museum of Transport and Communication.
AMTC recognizes the importance of protecting your personal data, of whatever type. For that reason, AMTC has developed a series of security measures aimed at protecting your personal data.
This document intends to let our website users know the general rules on their personal data privacy and processing. This data is collected in full respect and compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of 25 May 2018, whether for prior registration purposes, or for the purposes of access or receiving newsletters provided by AMTC.
This privacy policy informs users about privacy and personal data protection practices, and it reiterates the authorizations that were conferred to us by them at the moment of registration, in terms of collection, use and processing of personal data.


SOURCE AND TYPE OF DATA COLLECTED
Personal Data refers to all the information that may identify the user as a person, such as name, address, e-mail, telephone contact, tax number, and others.

PURPOSE
The purpose of collecting the data is to provide services requested by the data subject and to share information about products, services, marketing activities, campaigns, promotions, as well as for statistical purposes and personalized contents, all by prior consent.
The data will not be transmitted to others, nor will it be used for purposes other than the ones consented to.
Your personal data is archived only during the period of time needed for the purpose for which they were collected, and within the legal time limit.
If you don’t want to provide your data, you may be unable to access information on certain services, offers, promotions and contents related to the AMTC.

COOKIES
In order to facilitate and personalize the end User’s experience, our website stores cookies on your computer. These are small text archives that are stored in the user’s computer. Most of the cookies used on our website will automatically be deleted from the user’s hard drive when closing the browser session (called session cookies). Other types of cookies will remain on the hard disk and allow the user’s computer to be identified during their next visit to our website, with the purpose of remembering each user’s preferences (chosen language, for example) during and between visits (called persistent cookies).

IP ADDRESS
The IP addresses of all connections to our website are registered. This information will be used to carry out additional statistical analyses, without any relation to services and interactions with users being established. AMTC will monitor all statistical information concerning website use, in an aggregated and anonymous manner. The users’ data for this purpose do not contain personal identification or private information data. The analyses made from the aggregated statistical information will be used continuously to interpret the website’s user patterns, and to enhance service levels and user satisfaction. The aggregated statistical information resulting from the analyses carried out may be revealed to third parties or publicly.


VISIT COUNT AND TRACKING
Our website uses some third-party tracking systems, such as Google Analytics, a Google Inc. internet analysis service. Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored in the user’s computer and allow the analysis of website use. Information generated from Cookies on website use (including IP address), will be transmitted and stored in a server in the United States. Google will use this information to analyse website use and to provide site operators with reports on its use, as well as providing other services related to the use of the website and internet. Google will also transmit the information to third parties, if imposed by law or in the event that the third-party processes those data by legal order. Google will not connect you IP address to other data.
By using the website, the user agrees with the processing of the data gathered by Google in the manner and purpose previously described.


CONTACT AND E-MAIL CONNECTION FORM
If you contact us via e-mail or through our form, the personal data that you provide us with will not be permanently registered on our website, nor will they be transmitted or processed to any external entities. The information you submit will be sent to us via e-mail, to a server protected by TLS. Prior to being sent, the email’s content is encrypted using 256-bit SHA-2 cryptography.


SECURITY MEASURES
AMTC has technical and organisational measures that are suitable for the protection of the processed data against non-authorized access or any other illegal or illicit processing. Other than the security measures and internal protection of your facilities, AMTC ensures access limitation to personal data only for its employees to comply with the processing purposes. Moreover, in the event of a security breach, no user’s personal data will be saved on this website’s platform.


EXTERNAL DATA PROCESSORS
AMTC uses MailChimp, an e-mail automation tool for sending information on services and activities. Mailchimp’s privacy policy is available here.
For visit counting and screening purposes, we use Google (Privacy policy) for data processing. Google complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield regulation.


DATA BREACH
In the event of a personal data breach in this website's database or any involved external data processor, we shall notify all relevant persons and authorities within a 72-hour period after becoming aware of the occurrence and if it is apparent that the identifiable personal data have been stolen.

At any moment, and free of charge, you can exercise the right to request AMTC to:

CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
AMTC reserves the right to periodically update this Privacy Policy. Any update carried out shall be announced, not only through our website, but also through other means of communication that AMTC deems suitable. The information shall be sent to all our clients or potential clients, to the contact indicated.
The continuous use of our website, offered apps, services or resources after said communication has be made, shall be considered as your agreement to the alterations made.


DISPUTE RESOLUTION FOR CONSUMERS
The Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumers (ADR) includes mediation, conciliation and arbitration. The ADR entities are authorized to carry out mediation, conciliation and arbitration of consumer disputes in Portugal, and must be registered on the ADR entity list, under Law N.º 144/2015. They are independent entities, with specialized personnel that, in an impartial manner, can either help the consumer and the company to reach an amicable solution through mediation or conciliation, or, if no agreement is reached, allow arbitrators to make a decision simply and quickly, though arbitration.
